We’ve all been there: those moments when the clock seems to stop, the mind wanders, and we’re engulfed in the throes of boredom. Yet, within that stillness often stirs something profound — curiosity. It’s not our mere thoughts that affirm our existence; it’s our unending quest for more. “I think, therefore I am” takes a backseat to a more compelling driver: “I am curious, therefore I am.”

Jane, a friend of mine, once told me about how she spent a two-week mandated quarantine.

“The first few days were a novelty. I enjoyed the quiet, the freedom from my routine. Then, boredom set in, vast and suffocating.” But it’s what came next that’s intriguing. “That boredom,” she said, “became a blank canvas. I started questioning things I’d never spared a thought for. I wasn’t just existing in those moments; I was evolving.”
