Sometimes in life, you wander in a fog of uncertainty, questioning your very existence. I was there, lost in a maze of self-doubt, feeling utterly useless.

My days blurred into a monotonous cycle of wake, work, sleep, and repeat. The question, “Why am I even here?” echoed in my mind ceaselessly.

Initially, I believed that success would fill this void. I chased after every societal measure of achievement — a lucrative job, a swanky car, an impressive social circle.

Yet, with each milestone, the hollowness within only deepened. It was like pouring water into a sieve, hoping to fill it. The realization dawned on me: external achievements could not quench my internal thirst for meaning.

In this whirlwind of despair, a chance encounter altered my course. During a routine coffee shop visit, an elderly gentleman noticed my forlorn expression.

He shared a piece of wisdom that struck a chord: “Purpose is not found, it’s created.”

That interaction sparked a transformative journey within me.
