How to Make the Most of Your Limited Time and Attention
We all have limited time in our days; let’s face it. We all have the same number of hours in a day, whether we are college students or the CEO of large corporations. Yet, while some make the most of it, others squander it.
Have you ever noticed that when people complain that they don’t have enough time, they frequently waste it on things that don’t matter? They might say, for instance, that they don’t have enough time to exercise, read, or spend time with their loved ones. Nevertheless, they always have time for social media, binge-watching television, and endless phone scrolling.
People spend their time doing whatever they want. It’s that easy.
Take, for instance, Tom, my friend. Tom constantly laments not having enough time to pursue his passions. Typically, he reasons he has too many responsibilities, such as work and running errands.
However, it is evident from his social media feed that he has ample time for his hobbies. He posts pictures of his new comic book collection, elaborate model train set, and recent video game accomplishments. Tom has time for his interests; He does not effectively prioritize his time.
