My Coworker Makes Less Because I’m a Male — How Is That Fair?

Innocence doesn’t pay the bills, at least not fairly. I found this the hard way when a simple conversation about wages with my coworker became a sour realization. At my current part-time job, I make $12.50 an hour; but she makes $12.00 despite being at the company longer and doing the same job.
