As the sun sets and the city that never sleeps starts to wind down, many couples find themselves settling into their nighttime routines. Yet, for some, the flame of desire that once burned bright has begun to fade.

According to a National Institutes of Health study, 31% of men report decreased sexual desire. This loss of libido is not uncommon and can significantly impact relationships and personal well-being. But why does this happen, and what can men do to reignite that spark?

  1. Hormonal Imbalance: Testosterone, the hormone primarily responsible for sexual desire, tends to decrease with age. By the time a man reaches 40, his testosterone levels may have dropped by 1–2% annually since his late 20s. This decline can lead to reduced libido and other symptoms like fatigue and mood swings.
