Have you ever felt like everything in your life was just one big, hopeless mess? Like you’re stuck in a rut and can’t seem to find your way out? Don’t worry; you’re not alone. In fact, according to a recent study, over 60% of people have experienced feelings of hopelessness at some point in their lives.

But fear not, my friends, because there is hope for all of us. As the ancient philosopher and Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius once said,

“You have power over your mind — not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.”

Now, at first glance, this quote may seem a bit simplistic. After all, how can simply realizing that you have power over your mind help you overcome feelings of hopelessness? Well, my dear reader, the answer lies in the power of perception.

Think about it. How many times have you found yourself feeling hopeless because of circumstances outside of your control? Maybe you didn’t get that job you were hoping for, or your relationship fell apart, or you received some bad news from the doctor. These events may be out of your control, but how you react to them is not.
